Camshaft bracket bolt types: A, B, C tightened to 9.0-11.8 N·m; bolt type D tightened to 18-25 N·m. Camshaft sprocket torque 137-157 N·m.

Tightening procedure

  1. 1
    STEP 1: R.H. camshaft - Tighten bolts 9 - 10 in that order then tighten bolts 1 - 8 in that order. Torque: 2 N·m (0.2 kg-m, 1.4 ft-lb). L.H. camshaft - Tighten bolts 11 - 12 in that order then tighten bolts 1 - 10 in that order. Torque: 2 N·m (0.2 kg-m, 1.4 ft-lb)

    STEP 2: Tighten bolts in the specified order. Torque: 6 N·m (0.6 kg-m, 4.3 ft-lb)

    STEP 3: Tighten bolts in the specified order. Torque: 9.0 - 11.8 N·m (0.92 - 1.2 kg-m, 6.7 - 8.7 ft-lb) ... Bolt type A, B, C. Torque: 18 - 25 N·m (1.8 - 2.6 kg-m, 13 - 19 ft-lb) ... Bolt type D.

Install camshaft sprockets

  1. 22
    Install camshaft sprockets. Line up mating marks on timing chain with mating marks on camshaft sprockets.
    Lock camshafts as shown in figure and tighten to specified torque. Torque: 137 - 157 N·m (14.0 - 16.0 kg-m, 101 - 116 ft-lb)
