Using two feeler gauges (one placed on the other), insert horizontally between the camshaft and rocker arm to measure the clearance at two points (the front and rear of the rocker arm).

NOTE

*: At a temperature of approximately 20°C (68°F)

IMPORTANT

Whenever camshaft clearances are adjusted to cold specifications, check that the clearances satisfy hot specifications and adjust again if necessary.

If the camshaft clearance is not within specifications, repeat steps 1 through 18 until correct clearance is obtained.

Installation

This installation is the same procedure as that for timing chain. Refer to "Installation" in "TIMING CHAIN".
