    Remove the following parts. - Exhaust manifold - Air cleaner - Intake manifold - Rocker cover - Distributor

    Remove cylinder head.
    Cylinder head bolts should be loosened in two or three stages.
    Head warpage or cracking could result from removing in incorrect order.

    Remove intake manifold from cylinder head.

Disassembly

    Remove rocker shaft with rocker arms.
    The bolts should be loosened in two or three stages.
    Keep rocker shaft components in correct order.

    Remove camshaft from front side.
