Accel-Drum Unit Installation and Adjustment

    Install accel-drum unit and throttle chamber.
    Accel-drum unit assembly shown 'When closed'. Callouts label the lock nut, accel-drum unit, adjusting screw, stopper lever, coupling, grease application points, rod, throttle chamber, and ball link. Arrow indicates the coupling at the ball link.

    Apply grease all over the inside of the rod couplings.
    Use genuine Nissan grease or equivalent.

    Insert each one coupling to ball links of throttle chamber and accel-drum unit.
  4. 4
    Loosen lock nut.

    Loosen adjusting screw enough.
  6. 6
    Manually turn accel-drum until throttle valve is fully open. Check that stopper lever is not touching adjusting screw. If it is, loosen adjusting screw to maintain clearance between the two.
    Accel-drum mechanism shown 'When fully opened'. Callouts label the adjusting screw, accel-drum, stopper lever (top and bottom). A curved arrow labeled 'Turn' indicates rotation of the accel-drum.
