Removal (Cont'd)

    Remove the two engine to transaxle bolts and refit them into vacant holes as indicated. Tighten bolts to release aluminum oil pan from cylinder block.

    Remove aluminum oil pan.
    Be careful not to damage aluminum mating surface.
    Do not insert screwdriver, or oil pan flange will be deformed.
    1. (1)
      Insert Tool between cylinder block and aluminum oil pan.
      Tool KV10111100 inserted between the cylinder block and aluminum oil pan; star markers indicate insertion points.

    2. (2)
      Slide Tool by tapping on the side of the Tool with a hammer.
      Tool KV10111100 positioned along the mating surface; star markers show where to tap the side of the tool with a hammer to slide it.

      Remove aluminum oil pan.
