Install new shim using a suitable tool.
Install with the surface on which the thickness is stamped facing down.

Place Tool (A) as mentioned in steps 2 and 3.

Remove Tool (B).

Remove Tool (A).

Recheck valve clearance.

Intake

For adjusting - Hot0.32 - 0.40 (0.013 - 0.016)

For adjusting - Cold*0.25 - 0.33 (0.010 - 0.013)

For checking - Hot0.21 - 0.49 (0.008 - 0.019)

Exhaust

For adjusting - Hot0.37 - 0.45 (0.015 - 0.018)

For adjusting - Cold*0.32 - 0.40 (0.013 - 0.016)

For checking - Hot0.30 - 0.58 (0.012 - 0.023)

NOTE

Unit: mm (in). *: At a temperature of approximately 20°C (68°F). Whenever valve clearance are adjusted to cold specifications, check that the clearances satisfy hot specifications and adjust again if necessary.
