Disassembly

PISTON AND CRANKSHAFT

Piston and Crankshaft Disassembly

  1. 1
    Place engine on work stand with Tool.
    Engine block mounted on an engine work stand using tools. Labelled tool part numbers: KV10107110, KV10102500, and ST05012000.

    Remove cylinder head and timing belt.
  3. 3
    Drain engine oil.
  4. 4
    Remove water pump.
  5. 5
    Remove oil pan and oil strainer.
  6. 6
    Remove pistons.
  7. 7
    Remove bearing caps and crankshaft.
    Place the bearings and caps in their proper order.
    Loosen in numerical order.

Inspection

PISTON AND PISTON PIN CLEARANCE

Confirm the fitting of piston pin into piston pin hole to such an extent that it can be pressed smoothly by finger at room temperature.
Piston pin to piston pin clearance(0.0002 - 0.0004 in)
0.006 - 0.010mm
Apply engine oil to piston pin.
