- 25Remove camshaft brackets and camshafts.These parts should be reassembled in their original positions.Bolts should be loosened in two or three steps.
SEM114D - 26Remove idler sprocket bolt.
- 27Remove cylinder head with manifolds.Head warpage or cracking could result from removing in incorrect order.Cylinder head bolts should be loosened in two or three steps.
SEM115D - 28Remove idler sprocket shaft from rear side.
- 29Remove upper timing chain.
- 30Remove center member.
- 31Remove oil pan. Refer to "Removal" in "OIL PAN".
- 32Remove oil strainer.
- 33Remove crankshaft pulley.
- 34Support engine with a suitable jack.
- 35Remove engine front mounting bracket.
SEM402D - 36Remove front cover bolts and front cover as shown.One bolt is located on water pump.
