    Remove camshaft brackets and camshafts.
    These parts should be reassembled in their original positions.
    Bolts should be loosened in two or three steps.

    Remove idler sprocket bolt.

    Remove cylinder head with manifolds.
    Head warpage or cracking could result from removing in incorrect order.
    Cylinder head bolts should be loosened in two or three steps.

    Remove idler sprocket shaft from rear side.

    Remove upper timing chain.

    Remove center member.

    Remove oil pan. Refer to "Removal" in "OIL PAN".

    Remove crankshaft pulley.

    Support engine with a suitable jack.

    Remove engine front mounting bracket.

    Remove front cover bolts and front cover as shown.
