Removal (Cont'd)

    Remove the two engine to transaxle bolts previously installed in aluminum oil pan.
    Aluminum oil pan with the two engine-to-transaxle bolts (previously installed for separation) being removed; arrows point to the bolt locations.

Installation

  1. 1
    Install aluminum oil pan.
    Use Genuine Liquid Gasket or equivalent.
    For areas marked with "*", apply liquid gasket to the outer side of the bolt hole.

      Before installing aluminum oil pan, remove all traces of liquid gasket from mating surfaces using a scraper. Also remove traces of liquid gasket from mating surface of cylinder block and front cover.

      Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket to mating surface of aluminum oil pan.
