  1. 3
    Set No. 1 cylinder at top dead center (T.D.C.) on its compression stroke.

    Remove the following parts.
    Alternator adjusting bar
    Water pump pulley
    Crankshaft pulley

    Remove upper and lower dust covers. Use a torx wrench.

    Loosen timing belt tension lock nut and rotate tension clockwise. Then tighten tensioner lock nut.
    Mark rotating direction mark on timing belt.
    Loosening the timing belt tension lock nut and rotating tension; wrench engaging the tensioner.

    Remove timing belt.
  6. 8
    Remove belt tensioner and return spring.
