Piston Assembly

  1. a
    Numbers are stamped on the connecting rod and cap corresponding to each cylinder. Care should be taken to avoid a wrong combination including bearing.

    Arrange so that the front mark on piston head faces to the front of engine.
  3. c
    When pressing piston pin in connecting rod, apply engine oil to pin and small end of connecting rod.
    Pressing piston pin into connecting rod using a piston pin press tool. Labelled tools: KV10108250 (For E10 engine), KV10107400 (Except for E10 engine).

    After assembling, ascertain that piston swings smoothly.
  5. e
    Set piston rings as shown.
    When piston rings are not replaced, make sure that piston rings are mounted in their original positions.
    When piston rings are being replaced and no punchmark is present, piston rings can be mounted with either side up.
