Removal

  1. 1
    Set No. 1 cylinder at T.D.C. on its compression stroke and remove timing belt.
    After removing timing belt, do not rotate crankshaft and camshaft separately, because valves will hit piston heads.

    Drain engine coolant from radiator and cylinder block.

    Remove camshaft sprocket and front cover.
    Hands using a tool to hold/remove the camshaft sprocket and front cover.
