    Set No. 1 piston at T.D.C. on the compression stroke by rotating crankshaft.
    Rotate crankshaft until mating mark on camshaft sprocket is set at position indicated in figure at left.
    Crankshaft pulley being rotated to set No. 1 piston at T.D.C. on the compression stroke; arrow indicates rotation direction.

    Remove chain tensioner.
    Chain tensioner being removed; arrows point to its retaining bolts. Labeled 'Chain tensioner'.

    Remove distributor.
    Do not turn rotor with distributor removed.
