Intake Manifold - Removal

SR20DE vs SR20DET distinctions: steps 4, 7, 8 are SR20DET-specific (intercooler, recirculation valve bracket, intercooler support bracket); step 9 fuel tube assembly is SR20DE only.

Removal

  1. 1
    Release fuel pressure. Refer to "Releasing Fuel Pressure" in section EF & EC.

    Drain coolant by removing cylinder block drain plug.
  3. 3
    Remove air duct from intake manifold.
  4. 4
    Remove intercooler cover and intercooler. (SR20DET only)
  5. 5
    Remove P.C.V. hoses from rocker cover.
  6. 6
    Remove vacuum hoses, fuel hoses, wires, harnesses, connectors, etc.

    Remove recirculation valve bracket. (SR20DET only)

    Remove fuel tube assembly. (SR20DE only)
