E.C.C. TROUBLE DIAGNOSES (Models with catalyzer and E.G.R.) — Diagnostic Procedure 4 (Cont'd)
EF & EC-95flowchartApplies to models with catalyzer and E.G.R.: GA13DS, GA14DS & GA16DS.
GA13DS, GA14DS & GA16DS
Diagnostic Procedure 4 (Cont'd)
Engine temperature sensor diagnostic flow
1
INSPECTION START
2
A: CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Disconnect engine temperature sensor harness connector. 2) Turn ignition switch "ON". 3) Check voltage between terminal (b) and ground. Voltage: Approximately 5V
N.G.
Repair harness or connectors.
O.K.
3
B: CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Check harness continuity between terminal (a) and engine ground. Continuity should exist.
N.G.
same as step 2
O.K.
4
CHECK COMPONENT (Engine temperature sensor). Refer to "Electrical Components Inspection". (See page EF & EC-143.)
N.G.
Replace engine temperature sensor.
O.K.
Check E.C.U. pin terminals for damage or the connection of E.C.U. harness connector.
