THERMAL VACUUM VALVE (T.V.V.)
Remove T.V.V. from engine. Blow air from (A) port and check to be sure that T.V.V. opens or closes in response to its temperature.
CAUTION
Do not allow water to get inside the T.V.V.
Operation of T.V.V.

VACUUM DELAY VALVE
Vacuum Delay Valve Inspection
- 1Blow air from the port of the distributor side. The valve is in good condition if the air flows through the valve.
SEF863H - 2Try again from the opposite side of the valve. The valve is in good condition if the air flow resistance is greater than in step 1 above.
CAUTION
Be careful to avoid entry of oil or dirt into valve.
ONE-WAY VALVE
One-Way Valve Inspection
- 1Blow air from the port of the intake manifold side. The one-way valve is in good condition if the air does not flow through the valve.
SEF864H - 2Try again from the opposite side (White-faced side) of the valve. The valve is in good condition if the air flow resistance is greater.
CAUTION
Be careful to avoid entry of oil or dirt into valve.
