INSPECTION START

[F] CHECK RADIATOR FAN LOW SPEED OPERATION. With air conditioner: 1) Start engine. 2) Set temperature lever at full cold position. 3) Turn air conditioner switch "ON". 4) Turn blower fan switch "ON". 5) Run engine at idle for a few minutes with air conditioner operating. 6) Make sure that radiator fan operates at low speed. Without air conditioner: 1) Start engine. 2) Keep engine speed at about 2,000 rpm until engine is warmed up sufficiently. 3) Make sure that radiator fan begins to operate at low speed during warm-up.

Check radiator fan low speed control circuit. (Go to PROCEDURE A.)

[G] CHECK RADIATOR FAN HIGH SPEED OPERATION. 1) Turn air conditioner switch "OFF". 2) Turn blower fan switch "OFF". (Step 1) and 2) are only performed for model with air conditioner.) 3) Stop engine. 4) Disconnect radiator fan relay-1. 5) Restart engine and warm it up until engine is extremely hot [Engine temperature is above 105degC (221degF)]. Make sure that radiator fan operates at high speed.
