Malfunction is detected when ...Either 1° or 180° signal is not entered for the first few seconds during engine cranking. Either 1° or 180° signal is not input often enough while the engine speed is higher than the specified rpm.

HOW TO ERASE SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS

The malfunction code is erased from the backup memory on the E.C.U. when the diagnostic mode is changed from Mode II to Mode I. (Refer to "HOW TO SWITCH MODES".)
