[A] CHECK OVERALL FUNCTION. 1) Turn ignition switch to "START". 2) Check voltage between E.C.U. terminal 1 and ground. Voltage: Ignition switch "START" — Battery voltage; Except above — Approximately 0V.

[B] CHECK INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector and ignition switch harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal 1 and terminal 1. Continuity should exist.

Check the following. • Harness connectors F33, F37 • Harness connectors M11, E104 • 10A fuse • Harness continuity between E.C.U. and ignition switch. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
Check the following. • Harness connectors F33, F37 • Harness connectors M11, E104 • 10A fuse • Harness continuity between E.C.U. and ignition switch. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.

Check E.C.U. pin terminals for damage or the connection of E.C.U. harness connector.
