NEUTRAL SWITCH

  1. 1
    Disconnect neutral switch harness connector.
  2. 2
    Check continuity between terminals.
    Neutral switch harness connector with an ohmmeter (Ω) symbol indicating continuity check between terminals, with shift position set to NEUTRAL. Labeled 'Neutral switch' and 'Shift position: NEUTRAL'.

Shift to "Neutral"
Continuity between terminals Ⓐ and ⒷYes
Shift to other positions
Continuity between terminals Ⓐ and ⒷNo
If N.G., replace neutral switch.

CLUTCH SWITCH

  1. 1
    Disconnect clutch switch harness connector.
  2. 2
    Check continuity between terminals.
    Clutch switch / neutral switch harness connector with an ohmmeter (Ω) symbol indicating continuity check, with clutch position depressed. Labeled 'Neutral switch' and 'Clutch position: depressed'.

If N.G., replace clutch switch.

E.C.C. RELAY

  1. 1
    Disconnect E.C.C. relay.
  2. 2
    Check continuity between terminals Ⓒ and Ⓓ as shown below.

If N.G., replace E.C.C. relay.

AIR-FUEL RATIO CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE

  1. 1
    Disconnect solenoid harness connector.
  2. 2
    Check continuity between terminals. If N.G., replace air-fuel ratio control solenoid valve.
    Air-fuel ratio control solenoid valve on the engine with an ohmmeter (Ω) symbol indicating continuity check between terminals. An arrow points to the solenoid valve. Labeled 'Air-fuel ratio control solenoid varve' [sic].
