EF & EC-311flowchartHeader tagged GA16DE. Test-setup figure blocks are labelled A, B, C corresponding to the flowchart check steps.
Diagnostic Procedure 29 (Cont'd)
THROTTLE SENSOR (Code No. 43) (Cont'd)
1
INSPECTION START
2
CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Disconnect throttle sensor harness connector. 2) Turn ignition switch "ON". 3) Check voltage between terminal c and ground. Voltage: Approximately 5V
N.G.
Repair harness or connectors.
O.K.
3
CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Check harness continuity between terminal a and engine ground. Continuity should exist.
N.G.
same as step 2
O.K.
4
CHECK INPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT. 1) Reconnect throttle sensor harness connector. 2) Turn ignition switch "ON". 3) Read throttle sensor output voltage in "WORK SUPPORT" mode with CONSULT. Throttle valve fully closed: 0.45 - 0.55V. Throttle valve fully open: Approx. 5.0V. OR 1) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector. 2) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal 20 and terminal b. Continuity should exist.
N.G.
same as step 2
O.K.
5
CHECK COMPONENT (Throttle sensor). Refer to "Electrical Components Inspection". (See page EF & EC-349.)
N.G.
Replace throttle sensor.
O.K.
6
Check E.C.U. pin terminals for damage or the connection of E.C.U. harness connector.
