Diagnostic Procedure 1 - Main Power Supply and Ground Circuit

INSPECTION START

A: CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Turn ignition switch "ON". 2) Check voltage between E.C.U. terminal H and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage

B: CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal A and body ground. Continuity should exist. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
B: CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector. 3) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal A and body ground. Continuity should exist. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.

C: CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY BETWEEN E.C.C. RELAY AND E.C.U. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector. 3) Disconnect E.C.C. relay. 4) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal H and terminal 3. Continuity should exist.

D: CHECK VOLTAGE BETWEEN E.C.C. RELAY AND GROUND. 1) Turn ignition switch "ON". 2) Check voltage between terminals 2, 5 and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage

Check the following. • Harness connectors (M21), (E16) • 25A fusible link • 10A fuse • Harness continuity between E.C.C. relay and battery • Harness continuity between E.C.C. relay and fuse. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
Check the following. • Harness connectors (M21), (E16) • 25A fusible link • 10A fuse • Harness continuity between E.C.C. relay and battery • Harness continuity between E.C.C. relay and fuse. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
