    Make sure bimetal cover index mark is aligned with center of choke housing index mark.

    Check wiring connection, and start engine.
  3. 5
    After warming up engine, ensure that choke valve is fully open. If not, check automatic choke circuit and heater.

ENTIRE SYSTEM

Entire System Check

    Start engine.
  2. 2
    Check voltage between terminal 1 and ground, with engine running. If no voltage appears, check the following items: Automatic choke relay; Automatic choke circuit; Fuse.
    Voltage: Approximately 9 - 12V
    Carburetor with a voltmeter (V) connected for the entire-system voltage check. Shows two configurations: 'Without catalyzer' and 'With catalyzer'. An arrow points to terminal 1 to be checked.
