INSPECTION START

CHECK OVERALL FUNCTION. 1) Turn ignition switch "ON". 2) Listen to fuel pump operating sound. Fuel pump should operate for 5 seconds after ignition switch is turned "ON".

CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect fuel pump relay. 3) Turn ignition switch "ON". 4) Check voltage between terminals (2) and (3) and ground. Voltage: Battery voltage

Check the following. - Harness connectors B11, E104 - 15A fuse - Harness continuity between fuse and fuel pump relay. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Turn ignition switch "OFF". 2) Disconnect fuel pump harness connector. Check harness continuity between terminal (b) and body ground, terminal (a) and terminal (5). Continuity should exist.

Check the following. - Harness connectors M11, E104 (Model B13). - Harness connectors MF, S1 (Model N14). - Harness connectors B19, E51 - Harness continuity between fuel pump and body ground - Harness continuity between fuel pump and fuel pump relay. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
Check the following. - Harness connectors M11, E104 (Model B13). - Harness connectors MF, S1 (Model N14). - Harness connectors B19, E51 - Harness continuity between fuel pump and body ground - Harness continuity between fuel pump and fuel pump relay. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.

CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT. 1) Disconnect E.C.U. harness connector. 2) Check harness continuity between E.C.U. terminal 104 and terminal (1). Continuity should exist.

Check the following. - Harness connectors F15, M37 - Harness connectors M11, E104 - Harness continuity between E.C.U. and fuel pump relay. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
Check the following. - Harness connectors F15, M37 - Harness connectors M11, E104 - Harness continuity between E.C.U. and fuel pump relay. If N.G., repair harness or connectors.
