COLD START DEVICE

Remove cold start device assembly.

Governor Cover

    Remove nut, spring washer, spring seat and spring from control lever.
    Hand using a tool to remove the nut, spring washer, spring seat and spring from the control lever on top of the pump.

    Draw alignment marks on control lever and control shaft.
    Top of pump with the control lever and control shaft, an enlarged inset circle showing 'Alignment mark' and an arrow indicating where to draw the alignment marks.

    Remove governor cover.
    Move control shaft down by lightly tapping end with a wooden mallet.
    Pump with governor cover area visible; a black arrow at the top points to the governor cover being removed.

    Remove control shaft from tension lever.
    Pump with the control shaft being removed from the tension lever; a black arrow indicates the control shaft.
