INSPECTION START

CHECK CONTROL FUNCTION. 1) Turn ignition switch ON. 2) Listen to fuel pump operating sound. Fuel pump should operate for 1 second after ignition switch is turned ON.

Check fuel pump control circuit. (See page EF & EC-596.)
O.K.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY. 1) Turn ignition switch OFF. 2) Disconnect engine room harness connector and engine harness connector. 3) Turn ignition switch ON. 4) Check voltage between terminal (e) and ground. Battery voltage should exist for 1 second after ignition switch is turned ON. 5) Turn ignition switch OFF. 6) Disconnect air regulator harness connector. 7) Check harness continuity between terminal (i) and terminal (e). Continuity should exist.

Repair harness or connectors.

CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT. 1) Check harness continuity between terminal (e) and body ground. Continuity should exist.
