Engine Coolant Change
WARNING
To avoid the danger of being scalded, never attempt to change the coolant when the engine is hot.
Engine Coolant Change
- 1Set heater "TEMP" control lever to the max. "HOT" position.
SMA415C - 2Open drain plugs on the bottom right of radiator and on the left side of cylinder block.
SMA343C - 3Remove radiator cap and drain coolant.
- 4Close drain plugs and fill radiator with water up to filler neck.
- 5Warm up engine and repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 one or two times to drain old coolant.
- 6Open air bleeder on intake manifold.
SMA353C - 7Fill radiator with coolant up to filler neck. Follow instructions attached to anti-freeze container for anti-freeze to water mixing ratio.Pour coolant slowly to allow air in system to escape.
