Checking and Replacing Spark Plugs

    Remove air cleaner.
  2. 2
    Disconnect ignition wires from spark plugs by pulling on boots. Do not pull on wires.

    Remove spark plugs with spark plug wrench.

    Check new spark plug gap. Gap: 0.8 - 0.9 mm (0.031 - 0.035 in)

    Install spark plugs. Reconnect ignition wires according to Nos. indicated on them. Spark plug tightening torque: 20 - 29 N-m (2.0 - 3.0 kg-m, 14 - 22 ft-lb)
