Cleaning and Replacing Air Cleaner Filter (Dry paper type)

Clean or replace element more often under dusty driving conditions.

    Warm up engine, and check for oil leakage from engine components.

    Stop the engine.

    Remove oil filler cap and drain plug.
  4. 4
    Drain oil and refill with new engine oil.
    Oil capacity (Approximately): With oil filter change 3.2 ℓ (2-7/8 Imp qt); Without oil filter change 2.8 ℓ (2-1/2 Imp qt)

    Check oil level.

    Start engine. Check area around drain plug and oil filter for any sign of oil leakage.

    Run engine for a few minutes, then turn it off. After several minutes check oil level.
Drain plugtightening torque
29 - 39N-m (3.0 - 4.0 kg-m, 22 - 29 ft-lb)

Changing Engine Oil Filter

  1. 1
    Remove oil filter with Tool.
    Be careful not to burn yourself, as engine and engine oil are hot.
